BLARNEY MANX
Please come with us and visit some wonderful Manx of the past and of the present. | Manx we have known and loved. | Thank You for stopping by our page. Our Manx are family to us. We feel that we are very fortunate to be able to share our home, hearts and beds with them. | They are most happy to help us with every thing we do, some times showing us the Manx way is best.
Once you meet a Manx cat, you will never look at a "cat" the same way again. They are truly one of the most unique critters to come in to our hearts. |

Description: One of our dearest friends once said that when Mother Nature saw fit to remove the tail of the Manx, she left in place of the tail, more cat. We have found this is absolutely true, in both build of the cat and in their incredible intelligence. | The Manx is a huggable lovable Imp with a silken purr, an almost inaudible meow, and a naughty twinkle in its eye. The Manx obviously taught the rest of the cats the art of the "Silent Meow"! | Some owners have suggested that Manx babies should be sold with warning labels attached because owning and loving and being loved by a Manx is contagious. | Many skeptical husbands, who didn't have a lot of use for cats, have been adopted by their wives new kitten. The Manx have been called the man's cat that women love. |
| Origin: The Manx Cat originated on the Isle of Man, in the Irish sea between Scotland and Ireland. They are a rugged breed with a sense of humor, very like the people from Scotland and Ireland. They are an old breed with many fables about their origin. We have our favorites, including one that we originated. | Every one of them has a unique personality. Some find making Catnip tea with their toys is an amusing hobby while others are great conversationalists, usually willing to discuss everything in a quiet but impassioned way. |
| | | Red Tabby SH | Red McTabby&White LH | | Colors and Coat Length: The Manx come in many colors. True Purebred Manx do not come with the Siamese markings or with the distinctive "ticked" color of the Abyssissnian. They also come in both Short Hair and Long Hair varieties, The Long Hair is also called the Cymric (pronounced Kim-Rick). The Long Hair is the rarer version of the Manx. We have both. |

He has children and Grand Children with both short and long coats that have done well in the shows, in our hearts and in their homes and have inherited his contagious good humor and all leave little paw prints all over our hearts! | About Blarney: Blarney Manx was formerly Cilgerran. Both Cilgerran and Blarney are the results of working with some very special people who have contributed greatly to the welfare of companion animals and this very special breed! We thank everyone that has helped us over the years and worked so hard to preserve the true breed!
